Electric Power Steering System

Working principle: The steering column connecting the steering wheel to the steering wheels has been eliminated. A torque sensor at the steering wheel end captures the driver’s operational signals and transmits them to the ECU via the CAN bus. The ECU, in combination with data such as vehicle speed, road conditions, and autonomous driving commands, calculates the target steering angle for the steering wheels and then activates the steering actuator (motor) to steer the wheels accordingly. At the same time, the system uses a road-simulation motor to provide feedback to the steering wheel, mimicking road resistance and ensuring the driver maintains a natural and intuitive driving experience.
